The hydrophilic/hydrophobic structure of the biomimetic StoCryl V 700 coating ensures that concrete surfaces dry quickly. The result: water does not adhere, but instead runs completely off of the concrete surface. Since water cannot penetrate the surface, time-consuming repair measures are not required for a long time.

… with StoCryl V 700, concrete surfaces are also reliably protected against rain, fog, and dew. This is down to Dryonic® Technology, which uses a clever architecture of binding agent and extender to create a surface with a durable microtexture. The fog-basking beetle was the inspiration for this technology. Its carapace has a unique surface texture, consisting of countless microscopic bumps. Their hydrophilic tips condense the fog, while the hydrophobic dips between them rapidly convey the condensed water away.
